If I took the AP Calculus AB exam, do I have to sign up for the math placement exam at Notre Dame? ND says I have to sign up for the placement exam by July 1, but I won't be receiving my AP scores until after than, so I won't know if I got a score high enough to receive credit. Should I just sign up for the placement exam, or not bother because I took the AP exam?

I wouldn’t bother signing up for the math placement test since you took it. If you’re pre-med, though, I would HIGHLY recommend taking Calc A (AP Calc AB coursework…MATH 10350) because it will be an easy A on your college transcript that counts toward med school GPA.

I would not sign up for the placement exam. My opinion is that if you get a 5 on the AB exam, you won’t need to worry about the placement exam because you will already have credit. If you get anything else, you will most likely want to start in Calc I anyway.
