For anyone who has already attended Summer Advising and taken the math placement test, how was it? I took Calc AB in High School and got a 3 on the AP w/o studying too much, but I forgot almost everything. Is there a lot of calc or is it more algebra and trig? Thank you.

There is no calculus. It is entirely composed of pre-calc (algebra and trig). It was very easy (I took trig in 10th grade and got a 56/60 with about 30 minutes left at the end and I know others who did better with less time).

Yea, it was pretty simple stuff. Also, it is really unnecessary to score high unless you're an engineering or math major because you can pass into the recommended math classes with around a 33 or so.

is there any math placement test sample online and chemistry also?

For anyone still interested, its not that hard, but not totally easy. King Falcon is very gifted if he got a 56/60 with 30 minutes left. The average that I've heard is about 40-45. I got a 45.

wow..does it include logs and like the conic sections?

logs...yes. Conic sections...don't think so, at least not on my copy of the test.
