Math Placement?

Hello,

In high school, the last math class I took was Honors Algebra 2(To be honest, I’m actually pretty good at math but I just didn’t want to take any more in high school :)). On the Diagnostic Exams page (http://lsc.ucdavis.edu/diagnostic_exams.html) it says “IMPORTANT: High school Trigonometry or Math C is required for Math 12, 16, 17, or 21.” My high school did not have a Trigonometry class and I am not sure what “Math C” is so I was wondering if Honors Algebra 2 satisfies this requirement. Would I be eligible to enroll in one of these classes? (assuming I passed the placement test)

I have summer advising this weekend and I need to know if I need to take the math placement test or not. If not, I guess I’d have to enroll in a remedial math class. :(

Thanks.

Anyone have a clue? I have summer advising tomorrow.

bump :)

Basically, the question is whether or not UC Davis considers high school algebra 2 equivelent to high school trigonometry. I don't have any idea. If anyone does please post.

You just need to take the math placement exam, if you get into Math21/16 series it doesn't mater if you have trig or not.

if u pass the AP test..u still need to take the placement test?
