SAT I Math: 780 (one darn question wrong...read it too fast)
SAT II: MathIIC: 800

There's nothing wrong with going into engineering with an 800 verbal. He also has 730 math, which is pretty good. The skills tested by the SAT verbal section and those tested by the math section are not mutually exclusive; neither is particularly advanced in nature, although both are fairly thorough in what they do touch on. I'm planning on majoring in physics or astrophysics, and I have an 800 verbal (which is a lot higher than my math), and I don't consider myself a poor math student at all.

dood SAT is kinda based on luck + ur mood that morning. if u were unlucky or had a really bad morning (depressed and etc) then u will do bad on the SAT. plus or minus 60 points is not uncommmon.

SAT I: 800
SAT II: 780 IIc

"There's nothing wrong with going into engineering with an 800 verbal. He also has 730 math, which is pretty good"

i like how u immediately assume im a guy lol ; )

So how hard will engineering be for someone who couldn't score above 700 on their IIC but got a 750 on their IC? Serious question.

Sat 710
Ic 780
Iic 740

scorp, how bad was ur Math IIC??

did u take IB Math or AP Calc BC??
if so wat did u get??

750 on MATH IC is really good
and u should score very good on 800 on Math IIC with it..

do you still have time to retake it??

is your SAT Math good??

*for ur situation, i think it depends on the college... and on ur grades..

MAth 780
IIC 740

(Verbal 640 but writing 760.) Engineers do need to know how to write and read though:)

I always wonder why we have threads like these...

coz we are addictd to this forum. we have already sent out college apps. why are you still on? coz you along with other cc'ers are paranoids. this is the only way we can chill. anyone think they wont be visiting this forum after they are accepted to a college

Hey, kountingsheep, I didn't quite automatically assume that you were a guy. I have a lot of grammatical pet peeves, such as the use of "they" as a pronoun in reference to "he/she", and, in most cases, using only "he" or "she" is easier. Anyways, there wouldn't be too much wrong with thinking you were a guy...aren't something like 80% of engineers guys??

SAT I MATH: 800 SAT II Math: 800 (IIC)

Chrichessill, I've been accepted ED to Cornell Engineering, yet I still visit this forum regularly.

yeah, we just sit around lounging, chilling talking about SAT scores, laughing nervously when somebody's is higher than ours, trying to keep ours a secret. This is how we chill on CC.

no thats wat u do here..

we all discuss why our scores are horrible and try to improve them

sorry cavalier, i wasnt mad, its fun to be in the minority, more attention ; )

alebed01, I never took IIC I chickened out the day before the test and took IC I know I would've gotten low 700s or maybe high 600s on it, now I would probably get more though. No I have not completed, nor will I complete a calculus curriculum. Plus no AP physics or anything...)

Scorp, how will you EVER be an engineer without calc? Please explain.

yes... same question as doofus cavalier above.

cavalier302, I'm planning to take in college, I meant no calculus in high school.
