Math SAT scores

I hate the math SAT's because it doesn't matter if you are doing well in higher level math like Calculus, you can still get a really crappy score on the test! Grrr.

neb_nurbel.. that's so true.......

i dont know how, but that happened to me

800/790 iiC

Going into EE most likely.

SAT I: 770, SAT II: 780 (Level 2)

Mechanical or Aerospace, not sure yet.

haha I did horrible. I think I might have the lowest score from anyone. I was late to the test, and I guessed everything on the last one so I could leave, I didnt need the SAT.
MATH 590
verbal 390 (haha this is just funny and sad)
and yes im computer science

SAT I Math: 790
SAT II Math IIC: 780

However ...
SAT II Physics: 680

Eek. Oh well, I want to go into Biomedical Engineering and my Biology score wasn't bad (750).

SAT math- 670
SAT iic - 610
physics - 570

Yeah, these are terrible. I don't know how I did so badly- I get good grades. Still want to do engineering though. I did do much better on the verbal though - 770.

Yea, oh so terrible that you scored a lot higher than most people (over 50%)

Iic800
Sat690

SAT I Math: 720
SAT II Math IC: 750
SAT II Math IIC: 700

SAT I: 770 (first time my math has surpassed my verbal, actually)
Math I: 740
Math II: 800 (Yeah, I was pretty much stunned, especially because I was freaking out, and I'm not a person who freaks out about tests. XD)

I got a 610 on Chemistry, which seems (oddly) to be in the bottom half... hopefully MIT won't mind too much. I'm a girl, I hope that counts. shameless

Think I might be interested in Mechanical Engineering, though I'm not sure at the moment.

As other people have said, I think it's more about what you like than what you're good at. As a former art teacher once said, (paraphrasing because quotage slips my mind) "Talent is 10%, Effort is 90%." He had a story about a guy with buckets of talent who had no motivation whatsoever, and thusly went nowhere at all.

If you are interested in engineering, and you spend a lot of time doing it/learning it/whatever the proper verb here is, ultimately you're going to be light years beyond someone who's naturally talented and doesn't put in as much effort.

Oh, and alebed01 (way back on the first page)-- even if my math was way behind my verbal, I don't think that would make me any less interested in math or any more interested in business (yech-- I'm not dissing it as a major, but I couldn't think of anything more boring to me, personally).

SAT I: 770
Math L2: 770

you all depress me

SAT 1 : 680 VERY BAD
sat 2 : 750 level 2

SAT I: 740
Math L2: 710

And I plan on going into biomed.

I feel bad for posting but good for scoring.

SATM: 800
MathII: 800
Physics: 800

Slorg, why do you feel bad?

Pride is a sin. Actually, I'm plagued with guilt and shame and self-doubt and I then I feel even more shameful for being shameful when my scores are good. It's a never ending circle of doom.

Hey Slorg, no need to showboat.
Nobody asked for your SAT II Physics score...

Two people above showed their physics score. :P

You're just trying to make me feel bad now.

Slorg, you are very horrible person! How dare you come on here and show off
