Mature (older) transfer student from CUNY.....

Hi everyone.

As the title mentions, I am an older student (35) wanting to transfer to to Stony Brook for Fall 2010. Unfortunately, I worked on the process a little late....just applied March 23 and my gpa is a 2.7 with 50+ credits.

I'm wondering if the 3.0 gpa applies to older students, as well. Also, I plan to live in Chapin or Schromberg because of my age....which I was told was fine by the housing director, I've heard bad things about the dorms, but are the apartments bad as well?

Im assuming I will be able to drive since I'm a transfer student and I have a disabled tag in my car. Will parking be an issue for someone with a disability?

Thanks so much.

Any information would be helpful.

Yes, the 3.0 is a requirement, regardless of age.

I don’t know the requirements for disabled student parking; my assumption is that you’d apply for a permit the same way anyone else would, but then you’d just park in the designated spaces.

Chris

Thanks Chris. I guess that means I won’t be accepted.
