May 1st? How to Pay Deposit on Sunday?

Hi my child was accepted to several schools and we have to choose one by May first but that's on a Sunday. I don't even know what the deposit is or how to pay it (check? online?)
Can someone please help?
Thanks,
Tink

P.S. Also, 2 of the schools still have not gotten back to us with the financial aid package. I called them both today; they said they’d have someone get back to us today but now it’s after 5pm and when I called, both financial aid offices are closed. Any ideas what to do? Is it over for them or will they call us over the weekend? Thanks in advance.

When you accept a school, you must pay a deposit to secure your space in the school. If you decide not to attend it, you lose the deposit. Also, you may not double deposit; you must decline all schools but one. You should be able to pay it online.

OK thank you. I wish they made the date on a weekday where I could reach them if there’s a problem paying. If for some reason we can’t locate the password or username or something will we lose all the colleges?

This year the national reply date is may 2nd and if its not online you have to mail it by monday

I only wish that was true! I’ve done a google search and it comes up as Sunday May 1st.

At the college my son will attend, the deposit simply needs to be postmarked by May 1. It should be easy enough to look at the website for your school and see if this is the case. If so, simply put a check into Saturday’s mail and there will be no problem.

If it would make you feel better - send the school you have chosen an e-mail over the weekend stating your desire to pay the deposit on Monday. Then contact them when they open Monday to clarify how to pay the deposit. The accepted student packet you rcvd should contain this info.

OK thank you guys. I do feel a bit better. (Sigh).

Hi, OK all worked out. Thanks!
