i'm afraid so, its automated

ouch.........

SO2: just irritating ordor
NO2: Toxic and irritating ordor

therefore, the answer should be NO2

9g of H2O --> 0.5 mol of H2O

I. 1 mol of H2O has 2 mol of H "atoms" --> 0.5 mol of H2O has 1 mol of H "atom."

II. 1 mol of H2O has 16g of O --> 0.5 mol of H2O has about 8g of O

III. only at STP, all of ideal gases can have 22.4L. If they didn't mention about both STP and Gas, It's wrong answer.

So, I can guess the answer should be I and II.

do you guys rememeber what you put on smallest radius..?

Mg 2+ (?) I don't remember but it was an ion with the highest charge.

^^ chan1974
Wasn't H2O liquid? I chose "only I." because only gas satisfies the 1 mole - STP 22.4L rule

chan1974, you're wrong on both questions. CO2 is least toxic. Only I was true.

Mg2+ has the smallest radius.

Wait, II said 8.5 grams, not 8. As a result i said only I, or A. 8.5 just seemed a tad too far off from the correct answer of 8.

I cannot remember the exact question..

If the least toxic, the answer should be only CO2.... but the greatest toxic should be NO2.

and if the mass of O atom is 8.5g on the question, it should be wrong.

THank U guys.

Hey guys, Im assuming this came from the may sat chem. How would we know what compounds were to be more toxic. I generally remember that silver compounds shouldn't be swallowed but thats it. Do they expect us to know this?
8.5 would seem wrong, they do put these really close numbers sometimes but not when it requires hard fractional calculation. I can't tell for this one.

some of these questions youve all been talking about I am familiar with but I wouldn't even be able to guess the answers. I'm in Honors chem right now and understand it very well, and was wondering if most people that take the test are in AP and if I should put it off for a year.

ah. so the bio kids decided to bump up their thread, so why not, right?

how did we all end up doing? i'm thinking the curve was pretty awesome because i realized that i missed maybe 2 of the TTCE questions (just one part though) and 1-2 multiple choice and i still pulled off an 800. is that usually how it is?

anyway, how'd everyone do?

and to renastrawberry- i am in ap chem right now and i would stronly suggest waiting to take it until at least halfway through the semester. it'd be best if you could take it right before the ap exam (and, in my case, right after intensely studying for the olympiad one), but if you're going to be a senior next year, that 1/2 year of ap is sooo helpful especially with the questions on like descriptive chemistry and lab techniques that you only learn from experience

I know I missed at least 4 questions and still got an 800.

missed at least 3 and got an 800, must've been a nice curve this time
