the choices to the 9g of H20(l) were
I. 1mol H atom
II. 8.5g O
II. 11.2L

I choose (A) I only because it would be 8g O for II and water is not in its vapor form in III.

what'd you guys put for the smallest ion, i put Mg2+ but i have no idea why

i think i put I, II, and III but i dont know

that should be right~ I feel pretty dumb for missing that... sigh

yea the answer is A , although i chose all 3 =(

yea i put Mg+2 just cause it would lose the most electrons

Mg 2+ is correct
they all have the same number of electrons, but Mg has more protons than the others so it pulls its electrons in more.

It is Mg2+ because cations are smaller than anions~ if you think about it cations loose electrons so the remaining electrons are pulled closer to the positive nucleus. anions gain electrons and get biggre

which of the following has the smallest radius....

(a) F-
(b) O 2-
(c) N 3-
(d) NA +
(e) MG +2

the answer is Mg2+ I know I'm right because Cl- and all the other - gets bigger when they gain electrons and Mg2+ gets smaller because its lost 2 electrons and the greater positive charge pulls the electrons closer to the radii

which of the following is the least harmful in the atmosphere to humans...

(a) CO2
(b) NO2
(c) NH4
(d) SO4

CO2 because its harmless, we eat and sleep it

awww....i think i put F- or something. i definetly wasnt thinking on that one.

What did you put for the electrolysis of water? I put T, T, CE because if you think about it the positive entropy does have alot to do with the positive H because spontaneity (G)=H-TS at standard conditions, so basically it had to be endothermic given that the reaction's not spontaneous. But then you might argue it's T, T

I just realized the question on "which gas is least harmful in the atmosphere to humans?" is a *ing political question. I bet the liberals behind Collegeboard are trying to all make us think global warming is a huge threat and its actually happening with all the excess CO2 we give off. *ing pricks.

i ruined myself on that test. it was so easy, i was just dumb.

It's okay because you're theSATmaster, so I'm sure you aced the actually SATs unlike me.

for the electrolysis of water one, i put T T

no, i dint do so well on those.

"What did you put for the electrolysis of water? I put T, T, CE "

is it T,T,CE or T, T???

yea, don't feel bad...i did terrible too and i like chem. but yea..you're the SAT MASTER...no worries.

i think T, T is right.

whats -9 gonna covert to?

what what the 2nd part of the question for the water TT/TTCE one

the first part was like the elctrolysiss of water is endothermic....b/c.....

entropy increases
