They canceled it for tornadoes AFTER we had already taken half the test… From what I did do, however, I thought it was fairly easy. Hopefully the makeup test will be about the same!

Harq…why would they cancel it if you were already inside…? that doesn’t make much sense

Exactly
The worst part is that they kept us there until the warning passed, which makes me question why they could not just let us continue testing. I guess someone would have complained about distractions (Tons of thunder and the tornado sirens) and voided our tests, but I really didn’t mind it too much… I feel really bad for the people doing the subject tests - even if they finished, the scores will still be voided.

Anyone who took the May SAT as well as either January or March care to assess the relative difficulty?

Math harder than Jan
CR easier than Jan
Writting harder than Jan

But overall, it was not a difficult test, Jan was just way too easy!

I found CR a breeze (looking over the CR thread, I think I got every question right), some of Writing was challenging, and Math gave me a headache.

CR was a bit easier, though I think I aced the experimental section and only did so-so on the passages everyone is talking about in the thread.

Math: Hella harder. I’m no math whiz, but I got a 690 last time and I’m hoping for a 650-660. I just screwed up and blanked on a couple of things.

W: I don’t know, I’m not that great at this section, but I think it was slightly easier, or about the same.

I’m wondering about maybe canceling my scores, I feel that I improved my W and CR scores, but did not do so well on math.
errrggghhh

I find it really interesting when people have problems with the math section and have no problem with CR and W. I think I will probably have one or two wrong answers maximum at math.

Reasoning’s math sections are too easy for my country’s education system. Actually asking questions in this level is the right thing to do. My country has a errorneous education system and we are learning everything in a level that we will never need in high school and maybe, if we choose an unrelated field, not even in college.

when are results coming out

May 20th I believe

CR was probs the same.
Writing was a bit easier.
Math was easy (in both).

what was the answer for the M question with 4 digits…the grid in?

And I left #13 on the 20 min. M blank…the one with X^3 = ?..how do you do that q.? I was stuck…first time I ever left a M one blank :S

oh, Viggy: the 4 digit was the 8521

also for the one you were stuck on, all you had to do was expand the exponent and then factor out the x^n and cross off with the other side. then combine erms on the inside of the left side of the eqn once you factored out the x^n

wait, i saw on the other thread ppl subbed in 0 for n…then u get 2x + X^2 I think…WOW HOW DID I MESS THAT UP???

damn it…no hope for 800 now T-T

oh, and wanna predict the curve for M for me anyone? i am a first time taker, so i cant be a good judge of how hard it was because i was nervous the entire time and found everything hard…kinda

I thought math was more difficult, writing was more difficult (but easier essay topic!), and reading was easier.

Math killed me. Ugh.

Math was easy, what was the answer to the median question?

And I have a comparative government exam on the monday may 3. I went to a review session right after.

when are all the questions and answers coming out?

i got 26 for the median question MITHopeful

May 20th KoreanSwag

I don’t know about the subbing in 0 thing, but all you have to do is substitute x^n or something out and it cancels and in the end you are left with 2x+x in the brackets which equals 3x. That’s the answer.

Ugh… this was my first time taking the SAT. Looking through these threads, I don’t think I did too well. I didn’t even finish my essay in time and couldn’t come up with any good examples =\ What’s weird is that I’m absolutely horrible at math, but I think I did okay on it. Better than my PSAT, hopefully (520… ugh).

But I’m taking the ACT in June which I think I’ll be way better at. I’m just glad that this one stress is gone and I can focus on AP tests/ACT now :)
