I think the answer choice for A was lungs, amniotic fluid, and… something else.

On the E section, there were a couple of questions based off of a graph that had units in logs on the y-axis. Was the growth exponential and caused by unlimiting resources?

Wasn’t one of the options about endotherms being warmer than their surroundings…?

No. Silver think about Arizona, the temp is like 117 degrees but people have internal temp of 97 degrees.

Endotherms = metabolic heat
For the muscle / nerve diagram, it was basically the two nerves running up the the central nerve part for each segment that would be affected (this got rid of most answer choices for me) + any additions depending on what question it was.
Temperate grassland = yes

What was the colonizing species, before pioneer? Was it grasses or lichens?

First colonizing species was… Lichen?
Colonizing species come before pioneers…?

the answer to the second question about the pioneer/colonizing one was that they secrete chemicals which hinders the growth of other right?

Yeah, I put lichens. Lichens are a symbiotic association b/n a photosynthetic organism + a fungus, and grasses are photosynthetic. Grasses would need something under the soil to help them get nutrients since they don’t have roots.

Also, there was were a few questions based off of a diagram of ecological succession. The pioneer species was lichen right? Since it started out as bare rock there were necessary to create soil. And I said the biome was deciduous forest because it definitely showed the climax community with leaves from deciduous trees.

No, the colonizing species leads to the pioneer species. It helps it. There’s no way it could inhibit it b/c… then how would that entire area eventually turn into trees w/ no grasses and shrubs and stuff?

Agree w/ lichen
For the second part I said they need to have more mutations before that can move away from the water. I said this because I remembered plants for example couldn’t start moving away until they were able to reproduce without being in water.

hahaha didn’t see that conversation right above me, my bad.

Wait why was it temperate grassland and not deciduous ? There were leavy trees correct?

Wait just kidding SwedishM8, I meant deciduous forest, not temperate grassland >< I was thinking of something else.

I said temperate deciduous and that the colonizing organisms make it the environment inhabitable for the pioneers or something like that

Sent from my Desire HD using CC

Deciduous wasn’t an option tho…O_O
what was the question like why the colonizing species took over the pioneer lichens?

Remembered another question! THe pH of blood was ~7.5

I think deciduous forest was choice C…

Colonizing species develop soil level and nutrients, therefore making it possible for pioneer species to move in.

Deciduous was an option.

What do you guys think is the highest number you can get wrong and still get an 800? for M?
