May 2013 SAT Discussion Thread

I put costumary- because the excuses are used often and frequently

what was the question/answer for the one with arcane as an answer?

what did you get for the writing question where it said “Finding ways to do ___ and ___ are among the most pressing challenges.” was it no error or “are among”

@bonobo I chose “to address a problem about current fundings” but I was debating between that or “to show the lack of government funding for the research projects”. anyone know which was the correct answer for the moral of the research funding question?

Table question was (9 tables of 6 people) + (18 tables of 4 people) = 126
also what was the answer to the question that went like “Finding ways to produce electricity…” ?

What did the last paragraphs of both passages have in common? (Deception stories, from last CR section)

I put customary

@5am6996
the answer was 120

i put arcane

table question was 120…
my88keys: both generalized nature of deception

@ nnstrive

I think “are among” is the error since “Finding ways” is a singular subject

@my88keys. I put A) generalizations. Anyone else?

did anyone say only grudgingly for the writing paragraph question on cooking?

@kimbab i said the same

I put address an issue about current funding and then both generalize about deception

@ bluefyre002

I think you had to change “entrance into” to “to enter”

Wait wasn’t the table one 120? Because there were 36 tables in total so 12 of 4 people and 24 (12 when you combine them) of 6

^why???
/10char
sorry asking divisionbyzero

in the cooking one, did you insert “the solitude was shattered” before line 11?

bluefyre002 yup i did
