May 2013 SAT Discussion Thread

Darn it why was the answer 120? I thought it would be 126 since there are 18 tables that accommodate 4 people (184) plus (96) = 126

How do you guys think the curve on the CR and Math will be for this test?

What about the ones that said what would the nineteenth century person think about this? and how would passage to challenge the quote in this?

I think I replaced therefore with “however” I am not certain though

There were a couple deception questions about the early analyzes. Was one support the underlying principles? Was another lack of conscious?

I’m pretty sure I found an error in one of the questions. It was a comma error on choice C (which I believe was the correct answer) about Banff, Alberta. Also I’m now feeling very disheartened because I now know I did poorly on the math section, odd considering I’m very good at math, just bad at SAT math. Argggg I messed up the mod one because I didn’t check my work.

What did people get for the only about that made up integer? Numeroid or something.

did you guys put that “it” refered to the scent??

@5am No because there are 12 4-person tables = 48 people + 12-6 person tables = 72 = 120 people.

@ilovedianna i said sound for that one… not sure…

@ilovediannaagron I put that it referred to sound.

@5am6996
the answer was 120 because in order for there to be the same number of single tables as double tables there would need to be 12 of each, because the doubles are two tables so 24+12=36. then 4(12)+6(12)=120

oh yeah i meant sound lol

i put life. but that one i had no clue

@DivisionbyZero It’s perfectly acceptable to allow someone entrance.

How about the right triangle question with the 30,60,90? Was the answer 24?

What do you think the curve is going to be? Harsh?

yeah I think I put scent.

@ ilovediannaagron

I don’t think it would make sense to say that “she allowed the boy entrance into…”. I think it would be better to say “she allowed the boy to enter…” since you allow someone to do something.

@ilovediannaagron what question are you talking about with “it” being sound???

@kitkat522 what did you put?
