May 2013 SAT Discussion Thread

Someone want to start compiling a list for CR?

What was the answer to the question with a hexagon of perimeter 36 and it asked for the perimeter of the bolded sides? Was it 72 or 96

did u get 1.5 for the other table question where u had to find x

@KingAurora
i put 96

@ KingAurora

I got 96

@nnstrive

I got 1.5

math will have a bad curve critical reading okay curve and writing somewhat good curve

nnstrive. I got 1.5
what did you guys get for the irony question in the research passage?

@kingaurora i got 72

@nnstrive can you go over the 1.5 question more? I need to jog my memory of that question I don’t remember it.

@ sweetiiexangel

It was the one with the area of the tabletop and you had to find ‘x’

Was the experimental writing the passage about the cook or the one about the history of top 40 radio?

Hexagon one was 96.
One of the grid ins was 10/3? Something on the function chart and we were given that for 3, f(x) = 10, for 6, f(x) = 20, for 12, f(x) = 40

@ iwantcollege555

The one with top 40 radio.

for the hexagon question, it was 72 because 1.5 was the length of each little piece (the sides of the triangles) so you had to do 1.54 which was the number of pieces on each side12 which was the number of sides

What was the vocab answer where letter choice A was “courageous, bravery” ?

@kitkat552 if you didn’t put “to enter” what did you put?
Also, what did people put for the question about this woman moving to the suburbs where it asked what “it” represented? I chose “life.” I wasn’t sure if it was life, beauty, or sound.

@joejacob85 “only grudgingly”

some writing questions:

  1. horse question in last section. did you put one should approach it…
  2. no error for 3 of the identifying errors??
    reading:
  3. why wasn’t history SC ensconsed…undermining???

@kitkat522
what did you put then?

i put that hexagon was 96. Since it was 12 sides but each had 8. each of the little sides was 2. so 4 * 2 = 8. 8*12 = 96…
