<p>oh btw for the salsa passage anecdotes question, did you guys say “evolution” or “hints at the motivation to making a decision” … i said the latter cause all of the anecdotes mentioned some reason why the word salsa was used and i thought the paragraph as a whole was talking about how the word salsa came about</p>

Yea, it was evolution. They also put the dates in chronological order when citing the examples to make it even more obvious. 1920s, 1930s, 1960s, etc.</p>
