May have a C for a semester grade(but a B for the year)... will it kill my chances?

My dilemma began when we moved back in early March. It was about a week or so before the grading cutoff for the nine-weeks. I was normally a B student in AP English, but we recently took a test that I didn't fair so well on, and it dropped my grade to a 76 or so. Under normal cirsumstances, that week or so would have been ample time to bring my grade back up to a B, but I was withdrawn from school almost immediately afterwords, making the 76 my nine-weeks grade. I can't be positive, but I'm pretty sure that I will have a C for this nine-weeks as well, as adjusting has been quite difficult and my performance has been slightly subpar. My B for the first semester is high enough, though, that I'll have a B for the year (most likely). My other C is in math, but that requires little explanation, as I have always struggled with it. I'm usually a B-student in math as well, but I had many consecutive absences shortly after moving for reasons beyond my control.

So, will one C for the semester and one for the year kill my chances of NYU???

One C -- autorejection in every college in the world (C) someone

lol..........

lol luckily my school only shows the grade that you got in the class for the whole year and not semester grades so i don't have to worry about that semester breakdown or otherwise i would have a couple of C+'s on my transcript.... luckily doing the yearly way all of my grades are B's or better

^that is weird

Anyone else wanna put in their two cents as to how it will affect my chances?

Anything less than a 4.0 is an auto-reject at NYU.
