k well… I wrote 1.25 pages I think
I usually write 1.5~almost 2 pages but this time I tried to increase the quality
I did worry a little about being off topic and stuff but If I WAS off topic it would be an automatic 0 so…
i really don’t know what happened
i really really want to know why I got a 6…

^ You should post your essay when it is released. Only then will we be able to judge if the grader was just being a prick.

@MMAfAnatic9
but in the history of SATs
has there ever been a case where an essay was re-looked at and re-marked?

I’m sure if you made a big enough deal about it they might consider it. Post it here first so we can give you better advice though.

kk i won’t forget

I also want to post my essay on here once it is released. This was my first SAT and I didn’t prep for the essay so I didn’t realize how important it was to make examples the “meat” of your essay. My examples were literally 3 sentences of my entire 1.25 page essay and I somehow got a 10!

Just got my May QAS in the mail today and noticed something interesting about the writing… One of the questions didn’t count! It was #9 in my Section 7. It was also omitted in the QAS booklet.

I wonder if that explains the unexpected delay for scores?

Something as simple as happiness can be determined by rules and limitations. I believe that rules and limitations don’t contribute to a person’s happiness. This can be shown in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and with the NY sate driving age. In both these cases limitations prevent happiness.

In the play Romeo and Juliet there is a limitation on the love the two main characters, romeo and juliet, can have. This limitation is due to the feud between their families. Due to this Juliet goes on to her balcony and talks into the open about how she is sad that Romeo is who he is. Juliet knows that her nor Romeo’s parents will approve of their love. As a result Juliet is upset because she loves her enemy. This limitation didn’t contribute to Juliet’s happiness.

Another example of rules not contributing to someone’s happiness is the NY State driving age. In NY a person must be 17 with completion of drivers education or 18 to legally obtain a full licence. This restriction causes teenagers bellow the legal age to not have the ability to drive even though drivers in other states do. I believe that this does not contribute to someone’s happiness. This limitation may upset many teenagers in the NY area. Lowering of age would not increase harm of other drivers either; due to the plethora of rules the state could pass. The NY State driving age does not contribute to a person’s happiness

A person’s joy in life is not increased by the rules and limitations placed on them. This is shown to be true in the play Romeo and Juliet and the NY State driving age. There rules dont contribute to happiness and may go as far as decreasing the happiness of a person.

I know this isnt the best essay, i was sick and it was my first SAT and im only a soph and i couldn’t think of a good examples. I also know its short, I didnt get much time to gather my ideas since i wasted a total of 5 minutes coughing.
