McCombs Internal Transfer Fall 2016

Just wanted to start this forum for people to post their expected GPAs for INTERNALLY transferring to McCombs Fall 2016, in order to be able to gauge our chances of acceptances. Fall 2015’s cut off for internal transfer was 3.65, however it has no relation to Fall 2016’s cut-off because they base the cut-off off of the new pool of applicants each fall. They fill 200 spots starting with people with 4.0 and go down. So the GPA cut-off could essentially go up or down - it depends on all of us applying. So post your GPAs so we can get an idea!

I have a 3.857 but am also very nervous. Does anyone know exactly how they decide who gets in?

Last year they got their replies on June 3rd, which is tomorrow. @hookemhorns95

Two years ago they got replies like June 20th though so wouldn’t count on early June.

Hey, guys! I have 3.768 GPA and fulfilled the requirements. I’m very very worried !! Am I have low possibility to get in ?

My gpa is around the same as yours. I am worried too! However, no one knows the cutoff this time until decisions are released. It may go up or down depending on us (the applicants). To be honest, I’m getting more worried since everyone else here has very high GPAs! Let’s hope for the best!! @utorange [-O<

So when you’re saying “Internal” transfer, does it matter which UT college you’re transferring from? ie does Cockrell have a better chance than COLA or is it purely GPA?

so for McCombs internal transfer there is actually a status page? My son applied for an internal CNS transfer and it doesn’t seem there is any way to track it (or even see that your application was received). Just wait on an email…

A parent just posted on the UT Parents Facebook page that her son got his notification of internal transfer to McCombs. Not sure if transfer results go out all at once or in a trickle.
