McCombs & Pre-med

Hello CC’ers.

Recently I’ve been accepted to the Red McCombs School of Business.

Yes this is great news, as I’ve always had an intrinsic curiosity geared towards business. . .

But the medical field intrigues me as well. . .

How viable and successful can it be to pre-med while being a business major at UT? Do any current McCombs students know any pre-med students and know how they are faring?

@TheAvidSeeker, here is a link to a BHP + pre-med sample course sequence: https://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/BHP/Academics/Flexible-Degree-Plan

If you are not a BHP student, you could use that sequence as a starting point to replace BHP courses with your particular business major courses. Schedule looks a bit busy, but achievable. Does show summer courses for the first 2 years though. If you have any high school AP credit, that would substitute for some of the courses and make the schedule a bit easier.

A friend of mine who graduated in 2016 received a BBA with honors majoring in finance and she is in her first year at Baylor med school. I believe she was in the JAMP program.
