Hello, I am currently a junior (in America) hoping to apply to McGill for the fall of 2019 as a computer science major. So I’ve read quite a bit regarding McGill’s admissions process (freshman year not included, grade minimums, ECs not considered etc…), and I will likely most of the academic criteria by the end of my junior year (My stats are posted below).
GPA W (excluding freshman year): 4.02
GPA UW (also excluding freshman year): 3.76
SAT: 1350 - 1400 (haven’t taken it yet)
My one main concern is minimum grades for prerequisite courses. I have a solid A+ in Chemistry, and I am taking AP physics next year, but I will likely only come out of Honors Precalc with a B+. Does this mean that I have no chance, are the cutoffs really that strict, or should I Apply? If I do apply what would my chances of getting in look like?
Thank you in advance.
