McGill advises all applicants to have live auditions on campus, but students submitting their audition package via recording are considered for admission at the same level- there are several students per year that are selected based on a taped audition.

Check MINERVA for audition time if you have not received notice yet.

so for McGill university, I can do a dual degree in music performance AND in the faculty of science?
All of you said that we apply the second year for a dual degree, so when I send in my application, do I send in one for the Schulich school and another for science, or do I just send in one of them?

Based on my son’s experience applying to McGill’s double degree program, apply to both the Schulich school and the Faculty of Science. (Yes, you literally submit two separate applications). Assuming you get accepted to both, you then accept at Schulich. You will do your first year at the conservatory and will then reapply to the Faculty of Science. If you were able to get in the first time around, I understand this second application is a formality.

Finally, I recommend that you get in touch with the Schulich admissions folks - I can’t recall the name of the Schulich admissions assistant director, however, he was extremely helpful in guiding my son through the process.

Good luck!
