McGill minimum GPA for US applicants

Hi, I applied to McGill engineering (Mechanical and Chemical) recently and got to looking at all their acceptance stats from the past years. I'm pretty good on SAT's, but the GPA worries me a bit. Past years seem to consistently be at 3.7 minimum acceptance. I have a 3.93 overall, but only 3.85 if I only count sophomore year and later. Is it possible that their minimum will get hiked up this year?

Also, what is most important to McGill if I get past the minimum GPA requirement? I go to a good high school (blue ribbon, and I think top 50 public in the US), and I generally take the hardest classes available... would McGill ever contextualize GPA?

On another note, if I have a French citizenship, does McGill still pool me with other US high schoolers? (I know about the in-province tuition).

Thanks

You will be evaluated as an American applicant because that is your high school record.
