Which school is better and what courses should I take?

what's your major gonna be?

I'd say McGill because it's more reputable in the states, but you can't go wrong either way really.

I guess you're starting in Poli Sci.?

They have comparable faculty but Toronto has more faculty members and a better option of courses, I'd recommend UofT Poli Sci., in terms of prestige McGill may be ahead (certainly abroad) but I don't think it would make much of a difference for you unless you're a prestige whore. UofT is recognized for having the best Poli Sci. program (not necessarily dept.) in Canada. But they'd still look more closely at your qualities rather than the name of your school, for example, there are plenty of Yale and Harvard law students from colleges you don't often hear about. Just have a look at the faculty, courses, campus life... and see which one best suits you!

Yeah, I'm going into Political Science.

Btw, does taking a Canadian political science program have any negative effect on transferring to an American school?

Wait, U of T has the better Poli Sci program? I thought it was the other way around.

Choose McGill! Greatest school in the greatest city to go to college 2 (maybe I have a bias because I go here, but still...)

I'm glad I made the choice. I've heard great things about McGill's Poli Sci. But yeah, this place is awesome (i have a few friends @ toronto who have visited and think McGill is a much cooler place to be overall...).

As an international student (California born and raised) I definitely feel a large international vibe here which is awesome. You end up (at least I assume I will) with great connections after college; I've made friends with kids all over the world here.

if it is on location then I agree, Montreal is much more attractive than Toronto
