Hey guys, I am wondering how tough is the McGill Renewable and Non-Renewable Scholarships? I am a Canadian student with SAT 2310, SAT II 800 for both Math and Phyiscs, average 98.1%, IB Predicted 43 (40 Subject Points), leaders in multiple clubs, solid ECs, leaders in band and sport teams etc. Good teacher recommendations (4 of them), and I didn’t even get the lowest $3,000 scholarship. I know those are not extremely impressive stats for the Ivies, but I mean for McGill…
I mean is it true that they need a minimum 41 Subject points as indicated here: https://www.mcgill.ca/studentaid/scholarships-aid/future-undergrads/entrance-scholarships/criteria.
Hey man! I got the 5k renewable. Same stats as you (except 2300 SAT) and did APs instead of IB.
I got 3k renewable with 2280 SAT and slightly lower SAT II’s and a bunch of AP’s. I did a bunch of leadership and service too but who really knows how they make those decisions. Sorry about your tough break.
