McGill University Chances?

Hello! I am a sophomore in high school looking to study Environmental Sciences at McGill University. I am also interestd in Bowdoin College, and my super reach school is Brown (at all of which I would study Environmental science, biology, or life sciences).

EC's:
Euro Challenge Regional Winners, participated in NYC national round
Co-founder of school's Model UN club
FLAGS (teaching french to fourth graders)
STEM Club
Student Government
Marching Band/Band
Varsity Indoor and Outdoor Track (placed a couple of times in a state conference)
Literary Achievement Awards

High Honors for Freshman and Sophomore year (Took AP Bio and AP Euro in 10th grade)
Junior Year schedule:
AP Physics, French 4, AP Statistics, AP Language, Pre-calculus

I haven't taken any SAT's yet, and I'm not sure whether or not I should take the subject tests.

I plan applying to the National Honor Society, and I've received a couple of academic awards from teachers.

Thank you so much for the time, and any input would be greatly appreciated!

More than likely, you will have to take the subject tests for McGill, so make sure you schedule that into your junior year. Look at their website; they tell you exactly what you have to take and what you need to score (assuming you are an American and not a Canadian).

I talked to a McGill officer in my local College fair. His attitude was very snide throughout the whole conversation and I asked him what McGill looked for in an applicant.
I paraphrase: Getting into McGill is a complete numbers game. We look at SAT I and SAT II and grades. Your EC’s do not matter.
He was blunt and challenging. If you do want to go to McGill, focus on testing and grades. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of that type of school.

It’s a little premature… the good news is that McGill does not take in account freshman year.
