McGill vs UCL

Hey there

I'm an international student and have been accepted in both McGill and UCL for :

Information Management for Business (UCL = University College London)

McGill ( May choose economics and international development)

My main goal is to pursue my graduate studies in the US ( preferably an Ivy school) and work there. What would be the best option?

Where is the better place to live : London or Montreal ?

Does McGill < UCL ?

What is this story about McGill's reputation getting worse?

Thanks for your answers

“better place to live: London or Montreal?”

In the English-speaking world (and perhaps in the entire world) London and NYC are on the top in terms of things to do, culture, mix of people etc… Montreal is not on the same level.

You can get much nicer accommodations in Montreal for a lower price compared to London. Flats are very expensive and often just plain horrible in London.

London does have gloomy winters with relatively little sun, but it doesn’t have the snow that Montreal has and doesn’t get as cold as Montreal.

Montreal has a very vibrant student social scene with tons of things close to McGill.

I think that which place is better to live is a personal decision depending on what you are looking for. If you like to have a decent place to live and your means are limited, then Montreal probably wins; but if you only use your apartment as a place to crash and have tons of money to spend, then London offers more opportunities to spend it.

Thks.

Well I see more myself living in Montreal than in London actually !

But what about job prospects ? Which one offers a better ‘‘brand name’’ for employers?

I guess UCL is not really known in the US right?

McGill if you want to live/work in the US, UCL if you want to live/work anywhere else.
