Hi, I'm a senior in high school who plans to apply to UVA in the fall. I was reading up on UVA's School of Commerce and I realized that you apply to the school during your second year. Also, there seems to be a number of prerequisites for admission into the Commerce school. So I was wondering which 'School' in UVA prepares you best for the School of Commerce. Thanks in advance for any help!

college - you won't be able to take the classes if ur in any other one - or at least it would be extremely difficult to get all the classes done.

thank you for that info! if i apply to college, would an econ major be best?

no - you actually won't need any major. you just need to take the prereqs.

really? wow, that makes things easier i guess. so do you just apply for the college of a&s and just sign up for the prereqs? but then again, what happens if you're not accepted to the school of commerce?

Then you major in something else you like.

yeah, there are i think like 7 prereqs - and you have 4 semesters to take them. so you have basicly 13 spots for other classes. you might even find out you like something else and not do comm - i went into uva thinking i was going comm, but quickly realized that it wasn't for me. i ended up majoring in history.
