Mechanical Pencil FRQ?

Hey everyone,

This year I will be taking the AP Chemistry and AP Calculus AB exams (next week!!) :open_mouth:

I was wondering, for the FRQ, am I allowed to write in mechanical pencil? I’m asking this because writing in pen for me would result in a ton of crossed-out answers and messiness, while #2 pencils dull too quickly and cause my writing to be messy and wide.

Technically prohibited, but I used them. Have some #2 pencils ready if the proctor tells you to switch it. Also, even when writing in pencil, you might still want to cross out instead of erasing in the interest of time.
