<p>Will my score be affected negatively if I used both pen/pencil all over my chem FRQ? As in, alternating between pen and pencil. I was stupid enough to think that mechanical pencils weren't allowed so I tried to use pen for some parts, but after messing up several times and scribbling out huge chunks of work, I tried to use regular pencils (which I tend to smudge a lot and make pretty thick lines.)</p>

<p>This is probably a really silly question but I'm really worried because Part 1 of my FRQ was extremely messy. I couldn't decide what to use so I kept switching back and forth.. If I'm just needlessly worrying over nothing please give me a reality check haha. (This was my first AP test ever.)</p>

<p>The test said you can use either or. As long as it’s legible. I did all my FRQ in pen because if you make a mistake, you can just scribble it and write it again.</p>
