Medical Internships/ Jobs/ Involvement etc. for HS Students

<p>(Posted this in another section but thought this one would be more appropriate).</p>

<p>I am currently a sophmore in High School. I have developed an intense interest in the field of medicine, particularly oncology. I am looking for any sort of position in Medicine this summer, preferably one in which their is some sort of research involved (but to reiterate I am open to anything). In terms of my academic qualifications I have an A average, with a 2130 on my PSATs. My standardized test scores on the SAT in 7th grade earned me a state award and I am a member of the JHU-CTY program. I have written a proposal for a new type of treatment for cancer and have maintained A grades in all Sciences and Maths. I have taken Honors Chemistry and Biology and plan to take both of the courses respective APs junior and senior year . I have also done independent research on the nature of cancer and have tried to learn as much as I can about it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>Most of the deadlines for internship opportunities have passed. Take a look at the list and maybe there are a few still available. Next year, start thinking about applying around Thanks Giving, and start completing the applications during Christmas break.</p>
