Hi
I am new to this site. I have a high school sophmore who is interested in a medical career and was just received an invitation to the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. I did a search on this site and several responses were that this program may not be worth the cost. Does anyone out there have a recommendation for a medical based summer program that is worth the time/money involved?

I got it. I didn't go.

i think i got it too as well as my younger brother and some other kids I know.

Nobody i knew went, so i can't really tell you if its worth it or not.
Although all the "leadership" programs seem to be very expensive.

I know three to five people who went. They all said that it was a fantastic experience. It is quite expensive though, and yes, many of the leadership programs are costly. If you can afford, I'd say it might be worth the money, but if there is a financial problem, either apply for the scholarship or don't bother applying at all. There are other programs out there that are just as good as this one.
