So I just accepted my offer as an undergraduate in Bio/Biomed/Life Sci, but I plan on trying a variety of different courses before settling on one. On the long run, however, I think I'd like to go to med school, but not sure what are the procedures for it. How many university preparation years are required before entering med school? And for an INternational student, how tough is it? Also, is medicine good at McGill?

McGill is one o the top 2 most competitive med schools in Canada. However, it is easier for an international to be accepted than a non-Quebecois (yeah it’s weird)

Can i apply to med school directly after high school or do i need some years of university preparation?

Good luck getting into med school without going to college, much less having a bachelor’s degree.

You’d probably need a 45 on the MCAT and founded a hospital in Africa to even be looked at straight out of high school.

^*** are you talking about? the OP clearly stated “in the long run”

she’s attending mcgill now for a bachelors degree.
