Mediocre Midyears - am I in big trouble?

So, I don't have any failing grades or anything for my first senior semester classes, but in AP lit, AP gov, AP environmental, AP macroeconomics, and AP calc ab, I got A, B+, B, B (assuming my teacher fixes it after screwing up my grade) and a C+, respectively. I've always had A's in social studies and english, and was never that great in science of math but never had a c+. (Those grades were second quarter - first quarter I got a B+ in lit, so I went up, but I had an A in gov and a B+ in environmental. the rest are the same) I applied to UVA (out of state, unlikely), Wake Forest (had a great interview and I really want to go), GW, William and Mary, etc. About a 3.7 gpa (although my school uses out of 7) and 2090 sat's (750 w, 710 cr, 630 m), president of forensics, good extracurrics and good essays. Am I screwed and damned to going to a SUNY school? Thanks a lot

What’s wrong with a SUNY school? I’m considering Binghamton myself, and there are plenty of other good ones.

Depending on your high school, the colleges might not even see your first half grades until after you are in.

Well I visited a lot of colleges including the SUNY schools and I’m just personally not a huge fan. I’d love to go to a school like Wake or UVA, although I wouldn’t consider it torture to go to Bing. And yeah, I hope I’m already in haha

bummmmmmpppp

Schools understand senioritis. They’re going to notice (probably), but that won’t be the reason you’re rejected anywhere.

I agree with you on the SUNY School thing haha. Not that it’s, like, horrific to attend a state school, but that I just can’t stand upstate New York. None of the SUNY schools did it for me, which was unfortunate because they’re so cheap. I applied to Binghamton Early Action and got in, but I never had any intention of going. I now have ended up at one of the most expensive colleges (Columbia U), and the irony is kinda funny.

I hope they do understand… I’m taking 5 ap’s, the most I’ve taken in a single year, and I hope that that plus the whole senior year thing helps me. Midyear reports have to be the most aggravating end-of-process requirement of all time. And yeah, unless my parents are willing to spend 50 grand on my other safety schools (a la BU), SUNY seems like the next choice unfortunately. Fingers crossed I guess.
