Such a simple question but when taking a test like the ISEE or SSAT are students allowed to use paper to work out problems or are they expected to do all the math in their head? I ask because I was reading the ISEE website and it says that students are prohibited from using scratch paper, etc…Just looking for answers from anyone who’s actually taken the test before! Thank you!
You can write all over the test booklet, and there is plenty of room, so no need for scratch paper. Good luck with your tests!
@SatchelSF thank you for clarifying! I’m helping prepare my daughter and it dawned on me how she needs to jot stuff down – I got nervous when it said “no scratch paper!” I wonder how it translates when the tests are taken on the computer?!
