What exactly is that? Should I join?
@newapplicant
According to this website: http://mentorship.seas.ucla.edu/1.html
MentorSEAS is a program where each engineering student (1st year freshman or transfer) is paired with an upperclassman mentor who will help guide them in getting used to campus life. There are also many events, academic counselors, and networking which you can use to do the best you can at UCLA in the classes for the engineering major and also plan for the future!
In the RSVP (click on the link for the RSVP), it mentions the purpose of the event. I personally have not attended this event (yet), but I think that it would be cool to meet other people who have the same major as yourself.
If you are interested in seeing who your assigned upperclassman mentor is, you can go to https://my.engineering.ucla.edu/ , login and go to “My Advisors”. I believe the faculty advisor is also listed there (you may have heard about the one required meeting with faculty advisor every year).
@wonder77 Thanks a lot!
