Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea if I have a chance of acceptance into Pitt’s DPT program?
I applied on 12/13 but havent heard anything yet. (Not expecting anything until mid-end of January because of winter break)
1450 SAT, 94.7 GPA, good ecs (nothing special), one AP jr year, two sr year. top 10% of class
And, if I get into the program, do I have a chance at any merit? I know the scholarship profile is a 1480 SAT and top 5% of class, but I am pretty close to the requirements so I’m hoping that there is a chance. I filled out all three short essay questions.
Thanks!
Last year I believe there were 1-2 people who logged onto CC in late March and said they got a bit of merit even though test scores were 32 ACT. There might be hope. Traditionally they stay well within their published range which is 1480 AND top 5%. If you did get some merit it would likely be 5K. Are you in-state or OOS? Would $5K per year be enough to make it affordable for you?
@carachel2 I’m OOS, $5k is at least something. But, I’ll probably get close to nothing in need based aid. I have a few other schools that I’m strongly considering and if pitt will only give me that much I’ll probably end up somewhere else. I have no idea what I’m doing yet, I’ll have to weigh my options when it comes down to the money. Thanks so much!
@PTmajor5 —it’s been a weird season for merit at Pitt so all this is based on last year. All of us are just guessing and it’s hard to know. I wish you well!
