Can I get my application reviewed for merit aid (scholarship) because I know people that have lower stats but still received some sort of compensation? I didn't apply for financial aid, did that play a role?

Every applicant is automatically considered for merit aid. However, a lot of merit $$ is really connected to need, so if you didn't apply for financial aid, that can definitely affect it. NYU likes to connect merit and need-based aid much more than a lot of other colleges. I'm not sure if they'll reconsider your app or not if you didn't initially apply for need-based aid. Call the F/A office and inquire.

thanks, I'll call on Tuesday. It can't hurt to try. Are you still in Stern or did you graduate?
