Merit scholarships

Did anyone hear about merit scholarships? Does anyone know when we will get sent our scholarship package? Congrats to all who got accepted and thanks for any responses!

Last year they came out about a week after the EA/ED letters.

Last year we knew before Christmas.

How were they released? Through email?

I think it came in a snail mail notice.

Mailed 12/22/14

D just received hers in the mail today!

D received hers in the mail today too!

For the one’s getting them in the mail today, are you in-state or OOS? Also, does the letter just restate the range or do they have an actual amount? Anyone being told above the minimum of the range? thanks

If you received your wcholarship in the mail, would you be willing to share how much you received and what your stats are? Thanks. @ILMom13579‌ @stefan‌ @Violinviolamom‌

D received 20K with a 2240 SAT and good EC’s. She is homeschooled. We visited with a quick tour but that was it. We are OOS.

My daughter received a letter today too: $9K as an in-state student. She has a 31 ACT and 4.4 W-4.0 UW GPA.

OOS - received 16K with 32 ACT and 3.8 GPA. Looks like they stick pretty close to their matrix as far as $ earned with ACT/SAT + GPA.

I got my merit offer today. I am instate and received $9,000 per yer (35 ACT and 4.0 UW GPA). My letter said this was a minimum, and that when I receive the full financial package in March it may include more.

Yes, I forgot to mention that–the letter does state it is the minimum almost making it sound like it will go up…I don’t know though. I read it a couple of time and am still unsure what exactly it means.

Wow that’s interesting. If anyone has more information, please feel free to share. Thanks

I know there are dept. scholarships that are handed out at a later date - I’m guessing that is what they are referring to?

D also received 2K from the academic scholars program. I just read this. I have to start reading these letters more carefully. I think @ILMom13579‌ is correct that more scholarships could come from other areas/departments.

D recieved $8,500 per year with hopefully more to come in March. OOS 4.2 gpa 29 ACT Farmer Direct Admit
