I know the campus is huge. What are some types of allowed transportation?

Do a lot of students bike to class?

What about skateboards? Are those allowed? If so, do a lot of people use them?

How effective are the on-campus shuttles (if any) in taking you to class?

I just found out that new students get a free bus pass for the year, that's pretty fantabulous...lol hmmm this had no relevance to ur question...hahah

I remember thinking when I visited that the steep hills didn't look very bike-friendly. I might bring my bike anyway, but I'm planning on walking and using the bus pass as much as possible.

the bus passes are so bad. it makes freshman lazy and dependent on the bus. they're also the ones who least need the bus pass since they ALL live on campus.

There are plenty of buses that go past hasbrook, including the 81, which comes every 10 minutes and can take you close to almost any class. I have a bus pass and I use it tons, but I am so happy that I brought my bike. I used my bike from August to November, and then it got too snowy, but it's extremely worth it for me. Especially if you're late to class or need to be somewhere really fast, I can get from end to end of campus in under 4 minutes on a bike, but walking it would take anywhere from 10-15, and the buses are really convenient, but they take about 10-15 minutes to go around. I used the bsu tons, but you just have to give yourself enough time to get to class. Also, in the winter, the busses get full and there's a chance you won't get on one because there are too many people. Regardless, I used both buses and my bike and found them both to be extremely reliable/useful.
