miami vs. Denver???

Anyone picking between miami or denver university?? WHich should i pick?? I love them both!

Totally different atmospheres on every level:
Treed, grassy, quad-style campus-y campus vs. metro
sizes are different
climates are different
geography is different

What major(s) are you considering? What is your ultimate goal post-grad? Why did you apply to these two schools? What difference is there in cost?

Woh, Believersmom, you are pretty harsh there. They aren't that different. And ur kinda being mean to that poor frosh10, he's got a hard deciision.. Hey frosh 10, have u considered Pitzer?

Crazy Woman? And you call me harsh? Oh well---

frosh10-no offense intended, sorry. Let me be strictly factual:

Miami U is in a rural small-town in the hills of southwestern ohio
Denver U is located in a large metropolitan city in the high-plains desert climate at the base of the Rocky Mountains

Miami U undergrad student body = over 12,000
Denver U undergrad student body = just over 4,000

I have spent a great deal of my life and have lived in both Colorado and Ohio, and I assure you that yes, those two states are VERY different from each other in the many GREAT things they BOTH offer [I happen to love both locations myself but for different reasons].

By asking questions, I was hoping to clarify more differences that I KNOW of so that frosh10's decision might be easier for him or her. For example, if having great mountain skiing available as a day trip is essential to Frosh's well-being, Miami is NOT going to fill the bill.

Again, not sure what is harsh about stating facts and asking clarifying questions, but oh well, communication is not always clear on the internet...

Best wishes frosh10...hope this discussion has helped answer your question. Still am curious why these two schools, as they seem so different in so many ways (to me).
