Has anybody's son or daughter from Michigan received an appointmet this week?
Also, if you have, do you always get a call from your Senator/Congressman who granted you the nomination before you get your notice in the mail?

My son is a plebe this year and he received a call from Congressman's Knollenberg's office last year about a week before the appointment package arrived. From what I gather from the other Michigan parents most of their children also received a call of congratulation from the Congressman/Senator before the appointment letter was received. My son received his appointment about this time last year. Good luck. The waiting process if very hard. Hang in there.

from East Lansing here,

I got a call from our local rep before I recieved the appointment in the mail.

edit: after re-reading the original post, I did NOT receive that appt. this week.

I am from West Michigan and I am still awaiting to hear if I have been granted an appointment. I know that I am in the waiver category due to wearing glasses, but everything else I feel looks pretty good for me(at least I hope it does).Getting anxious to say the least, it sure would be nice to her something this week.My congressman or senator can call me anytime to let me know, I'm ready!!
