Michigan Housing Question

How exactly do they work this process?

I've heard lottery, I've heard priority based on when you send it in?

Anyone know exactly how they do this? Anything would be great. Thanks.

I'm bumping this up because a lot of people on here are in and probably wondering about this; I am. To expand on the original post- what are the odds that an LSA student ends up on north campus? what are the odds a student that isn't special gets on central campus? Pros and cons of any dorm or area?

thanks

to start off this has some pretty good stuff:
<a href="http://www.housing.umich.edu/residencehalls/%5B/url%5D">http://www.housing.umich.edu/residencehalls/</a></p>

also bumping; I'm wondering myself. I'm out-of-state so I have no idea which ones are better/worse, chances, etc.

Although I'm guessing freshman aren't exactly shoo-ins for suites?

I know that Baits on North Campus have suites.

myccname, the chance someone who "isnt special" gets on central is pretty good. Maybe not on the first shot, but there are always conflicts and people want to switch roommates, so you could easily transfer into central campus housing if you ask for a switch early in the year.
