I am currently enrolled in a University that I won't give the name of, but really hate. I was more or less forced to go there, however I can no longer take it and I am trying to transfer to Michigan State. I had a 28 ACT in high school and 3.8, however I'm not sure if that will be looked at. Right now I have a 3.35 GPA and am enrolled in 20 credits for this upcoming semester. My question is whether or not I will be accepted to Michigan State. I sent in my application and just got something on my portal saying that I have to send in my second semester grades. I was a little concerned so I call the Admissions office and one (only mildly helpful young lady) told me that since I hadn't completed one of the Writing requirements (I'm enrolled now) until I pass the class and there's proof I can't be accepted.<br>
I want to ask the board because I've called these "admission guides" and have been told many different things and I don't want to rely on the information of one person for my college future.</p>

<p>How many credits have you taken so far? Also, with a 3.35 GPA, I don’t think a 20 credit semester is in your best interest but that’s neither here nor there.</p>
<p>3.35 is in the toss-up range. It depends if it’s a high caliber school like U of M or a more low ranked one like EMU. A 3.35 means different things at different colleges. </p>
<p>I don’t know about the WRA credit, but you really won’t know for sure until you get a decision and there’s nothing you can really do in the mean time.</p>

<p>So far I only have 16 credits, so when I transfer I will have 36 total. I’m only a freshman, I was accepted to Michigan State my senior year, but due to financial reasons, chose to live at home and attend a close by school. I’m at a middle of the road school, however I took 2 Writing courses, Honors college course, Calculus 1, calculus 2, biology, astronomy, grammar, and sociology.</p>
<p>I’m in the same situation except I’ve recently asked MSU to reconsider my application for another semester…so I’m waiting to see on that.</p>

<p>Hey guys! Just to ease anyone’s mind who finds this post later, I got in no problem:) I didn’t get in till may 10th though, and they said it was ONLY because I hadn’t completed my WRA 110 requirement and they just needed to verify via transcripts that I passed!
