Just went on MSU Honors college site and saw that the requirements were raised for ACT to 31 from 30 and SAT to 1450 from 1360. My D is just below the limits but has the other requirements. Does anyone know if they send out invites to Honor college if you are below the test score stats?
If it helps, I was just accepted with a 29 ACT and 1360 new SAT and a 3.89 UW GPA along with 7 AP classes and 1200+ volunteer hours
I got accepted to the honors college with a 30 act and 3.9 unweighted gpa. With 9 AP classes with 4 years varsity sports and 100+ volunteer hours.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought those were averages, not requirements. I got accepted into the Honors College with a 31 ACT, but know of people that got into it with a 29 and 30.
How do you guys check if you got into the Honors’ College? I have a 31 ACT and 1430 SAT with a 3.62 uw GPA? I would guys that my low GPA automatically disqualifies me, is that a fair assumption?
I got in with a 3.75 UW so your gpa is not much lower. I had a 1420 on the SAT also
I didn’t get invited (yet I hope) 32 ACT and 3.8 UW GPA.
Mhm, that is a tough pill to swallow. If I can’t even go to Honors college at state, that doubts my acceptance to UMich.
They will send you an additional letter
How long did it take between when you were notified of your acceptance and when you were notified about honors college? Did you complete any other forms or start the acceptance process/send deposit money prior?
@098123Student You get your decision for honors college 4-8 weeks after your MSU application. Your MSU application is also your honors college application. No forms or deposits needed.
My son applied late October. The acceptance letter came mid November and the invitation to the honors college a week later. Invitation to the ADS competition came today.
I thought for honors college you only need to meet one of the requirements or not all of them
