<p>As a resident of Michigan, if needed to attend out of state I have long question about putting Ohio schools ( Ohio State University- Columbus). Knowing the rivialery Ohio has with Michigan universities such as Michigan State University, and University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. What do you think of a Michigan student attending a Ohio university. How strong would the rivialery presence be, and the dislike? Would you not want to attend a Ohio university yourself, being from Michigan?</p>

<p>Well, I know plenty of people here at U of Michigan from Ohio and no one holds a grudge against them (as long as they don't root for OSU).</p>

<p>It is not an issue. Michigan students attend Ohio universities all the time and vice versa and it is not a big deal.</p>
<p>It's an absolute non-issue. In my time at Ohio State, I saw countless Michigan sweatshirts on campus on grad students and the occasional undergrads who just hated football. Nobody really cared unless it was the week of the Michigan game and then it never amounted to more than a little good natured smack talking.</p>
<p>Nobody is really going to care one bit that you're from Michigan.</p>
<p>I've heard songs that OSU students made on how they hate the whole state of Michigan. Knowning the hudge competition and all, I was wondering it's probably not the best location for a Michigan student. With the environment around you against your state, or may come up frequently. Not a pleasent feel.</p>

<p>Its not that bad, chill out, don't freak out. They only won't like you if you go to UM. If you go to OSU, nobody gives a rat's @ss where you come from.</p>

<p>I could only imagen what they would do when Michigan universities are brought up, let alone a game coming up with the schools.</p>
<p>Dude, if you go to Akron, OU, Cincinatti, etc, they hate OSU more than UM fans(hard to believe). Although schools like Miami could care less.</p>
<p>Trust me, those OSU queers wouldn't care if you are from Michigan. They don't really have much passion for their team at Ohio State, just a bunch of front runners.</p>
<p>Either way, no matter where you go in Ohio there is going to be a strong football following. We love our football.</p>
