Microeconomics

I'm going to start self studying for microeconomics but it seems so confusing. is this common before studying it. I tried some practice questions to see the intensity of the questions and it took me a while to understand what the question was asking. Also, how long does it take to study microeconomics? is it easier to study macro? what is a key thing to keep in mind when studying economics? In addition, is US government hard to self study that too with 4 months left?

US Gov shouldn't be too hard especially if you've had US History (don't necessarily need to have taken APUSH)

I'd say macro/micro are about the same. The basics are all pretty common sense stuff... and when you get that down, the hard stuff is easy. Macro/micro are probably around the same difficulty; it just depends on what comes easier to you - I think macro is easy, but one of my friends thinks micro is easy. You could self study them both within a couple weeks, if you put effort into it.

microeconomics- more formulas to memorize

I'm taking AP Micro as a class and I'm in the same boat as you are. It is so confusing! I use a textbook called Economics by Paul Krugman and Robin Wells (bought it off of ebay for 60 bucks) and it comes with a website that has interactive graphs, practice tests, videos, etc. So far, so good. It is definitely hard if you don't completely understand the material before going on to the new material. I would suggest spending a year studying it if it is difficult for you (that's what I'm doing) and reviewing the material as much as you can. I haven't taken AP Macro yet but I heard that it is a little easier. Good luck!

Economics is not hard! Read your textbook and you will be fine. Just relax, there is more than plenty of time for self study.
