Microwave/Mini-fridge deal

Best Buy is selling a microwave and mini-fridge - BOTH for $99. The fridge is small but it's still a pretty good deal. :)

Eh, it might be a good deal, but I got a floor model of that exact same fridge at Best Buy for less than $30, and I know you can get comparable microwaves for around 30 or 40 bucks. However, the convenience of getting both is nice. (Note: that size fridge is TINY. You can't fit a Brita filter, a half-gallon of milk or anything that is taller than about 7 inches...)

Get the larger fridges - about 2 cubic feet or so. That's enough for two people (or one, if you keep a lot of food in there). Also try to find one with a half-way decent freezer if you are an ice cream addict.

I already have the largest size fridge, but it costs $100+ new - just trying to help out people who are on a tight budget but still want a fridge. :)

... and, of course, it's probably cheaper than renting. :)

yeah, definitely - at least at my school, you could practically buy the fridge they let you rent for the price you can rent it for!

At my alma mater, the rent was more than a fridge & microwave cost. They didn't allow microwaves to be plugged in except when in use, so it was completely worth it to have it unplugged and save a few hundred dollars.

Summer storage is a problem for some people, though.

Sears has a lot more microwaves and mini-fridges you should check them out too.

My school has microwaves and mini-fridges in all the dorm rooms for free, so make sure your school doesn't give you one before you buy it yourself! ;)
