Mini Fridges

So, I have a question with regards to mini fridges. Last year I lived on a floor with 4 other girls (only 16 people lived in my building), and a full sized fridge was available on each floor. I used this on a regular basis. Next year, I’m in a different living situation in a traditional dorm, and am hesitant to use the common fridge (and even if I do use it, because I’m sharing it with ~30 other girls, I won’t have nearly the ammount of space that I had this year). Which leaves me with a couple options:

Rent a microfridge from the school. It’s $150 for the year, which seems a little pricey. I’ll be living in a single, so no roomate to split the cost with. Also, while this is the only way to have a microwave in your room, the kitchen (which is less than 10ft away from my room) has a brand new microwave. So I really only need to be renting it for the fridge.

Buy a minifridge, and try to sell it to someone at the end of the year or have one of my friend’s keep it in their apartment. I’m from OOS (FL, go to college in MA), so taking it home isn’t an option.

Skip the fridge. Try using the common fridge or do without.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions?

I think option 2. I'm doing that.

thanks :) (10 chars)

Ebay when your done

a fridge is too heavy to ship if someone were to buy it on ebay.

i'd just buy one. you can buy a fridge for about what you would be renting one for, so after the year is done i'd just try selling it to someone local for $50 or so

Check local want ads and other types of things for cheap mini fridges.

^Thanks for the suggestion!

D had a mini fridge for her 1st year (we live 3000 miles away, so it wasn't coming home). She was smart and advertised it for sale 3 weeks before finals, and before anyone else started advertising. She spent $100 on it & sold it for $50 (to a faculty member!). Soon after, the market was filled with fridges for sale and were going for as little as $20. So buy one, it's still less expensive than renting.
