I'll be living in unit 3 and I was wondering if we need to bring microwaves. I heard that each floor has a lounge with a microwave........is this true?
I wasn't going to bring one, but my roommate wants one.
And do we really need a microwave? I don't even use one in my house..
So should I bring one just in case?

if you dont use one normally, i doubt you'll need one now

I would bring a microwave. I use mine all the time now (I'm a second year RA). Actually, I will be RAing for unit 3 next year, what building are you in? There is a common microwave on the ground floor but can be quite tedious to go to everytime. Last year I brought a microwave and a small fridge and I found it VERY useful. Especially this year, they're building a bears market (like a grocery store) right in the middle of unit 3 (lucky us!)

oooooooooooh they're building a market?? nice.....I'm going to be in priestley hall....:)

Unit 3 does not have a microwave on each floor/lounge. Every other floor (the odd ones, 1, 3, 5, 7) has a lounge with desks and chairs and a chalkboard, and a balcony. You will probably want to bring your own microwave (or have your roommate bring one) because you will likely eat a lot more microwavable food than you would at home.

Ps. I was on the 7th floor Priestly Hall last year. Hope you like it :)

ooo...I just checked and I'm on 3rd floor...aww...I wanted to go higher..haha o well

I'll be at Ida Sproul Hall. How do you check what floor you're going to be at?

go to bearfacts... go under personal->address

Huh How can you tell which floor youre on? My address looks like this:

RM TO-G14B Towle

Im confused...

i don't think thats the correct address. TO=Towle and G14B stands for ground room 14B. I KNOW thats not the scenario. You will find out your room at registration when you come up for move in day no worries =D

er....Mine is like RM PR-303 PRIESTLEY..so I know i'm on the 3rd floor...or does it mean something else?

whoasitzkyle- I know I don't need to know now, but either way Im curious... how do you know that address isnt right? Is there no room 14B on the ground floor or something?

Well I don't know much about room assignments. That could very likely be your room. I personally think living on the lower levels are better because it's easier to get in/out of the building. For ex: You'll find that the higher you are the more stops the elevator makes when you want to go down. Anyways, if you're on the third floor the RA you will have is a cool person!

Towle is a new mini suite in unit 2. The ground level is where the offices and the laundry room is. Residents all live on the first floor and up, never on the ground.

do you know the RA for the 3rd floor? haha...nice

yeah...I know all the RA's in unit 3 very well. =)

haha ACTUALLY...I not only know your RA but the person that lived in that room last year...haha what a coincidence

whaaaaaaaat...haha

Thanks for the info...I'm staying on the third floor at Ida Sproul

During Calso they said something about microfridge rentals? does anybody have any information on this?
