How important is the Mid-Term Report relative to the rest of the transfer student application? I assume that not too much weight is invested in it because the grades are not set in stone, yet I feel like it can be a tie-breaker of sorts (which can mean everything in transfer applications).

Also, for the Mid-Term Report, do I just have all my professors sign off on the same form?

I would think that the high and low of the applicant pool are probably not affected unless their midterm report is very different from what they’ve shown to date. It’s more likely the mid range applicants that the midterm might tip the scales for or against.

I am applying to highly competitive, but not near-impossible, schools like NYU Stern, Emory, Cornell, Brown, Penn. I would imagine that for such schools, the majority of applicants would at least have 3.7+ GPAs, in which case will the mid-term report be taken into deeper consideration?
